I usually hate Daylight Savings Time in the spring because I am a huge fan of sleep and having as much of it as possible. But this time around I kinda marvel at the timing of it. Apparently it's 3 weeks early this year and they will keep it one week later so we have like an extra month of sunlight. This didn't really matter to me when I heard it. But given my current circumstance of no light and heat in the house, I see God blessing me even in this. An hour less sleep, means church is one hour earlier, one hour less sleep in my chilly room and one more hour of sunlight to shine through my window. If it had been in three weeks, I would have had a longer colder darker day today hehehe. AND John (my roommate's son) is coming to fix the wiring in my house so the electric will be back up soon! Gasp, did I mention the reason for the lights going out was that it was probably a mouse that chewed the wires. Is it silly I'm hoping the mouse didn't die? And this evening I head off to my best friend's house to housesit while she and her family are out of town. So I will be dwelling in light and heat for the next two weeks....complete with DVR to record tv and their pets to snuggle. (And I do believe I just mentioned I needed pets to snuggle) -grins- God really does give ya what you need when ya need it doesn't he? Monday I am taking my car to have her brakes fixed and some time in the week I am gonna pick up a hamster. (flails and squees) I totally looked up articles on how to train your hamster so it's tame and happy and can do tricks. There will be pictures of my new hammie abounding when I buy him.
