May is shaping up to be a lovely month! LOTS of cool things happened in April and I expect they will only get better. May 12th & 13th - Jason Upton - my very favorite worship leader is coming to my town for FREE! It's like scheduling a time to rock out loudly for God. I'm VERY excited. I need to go and get mah praise on! He actually has a radio station on his website of his music in case you'd like to take a gander - you can even request! I'm feeling very encouraged in my faith these days. Why? I'm glad you asked There have been several very significant things that happened this past week. One of the guys in my church was being accused of stealing money from his job, a rather large amount. However - he didn't do it. They had him take a lie detector test and everything. So Wednesday night we prayer for this to all work out. Thursday -- Not only did he pass the lie detector test, but the money was found with someone else "miraculously" Then my roomate had an abcess tooth. Which is apparently EXTREMELY painful. She didn't have the money to have it removed (it was pretty bad off) She was like a lion with a thorn in it's paw. She was NOT a happy camper. Thursday a friend of mine and I were talking about it and she said "Oh Lord let it fall out." And I agreed the pain needed to stop but I didn't know how to pray for this specific thing! Sunday morning my roomate was going to lead songs and she woke up with her mouth all swollen, only able to eat yogurt because of the pain. She asked God to help her out and an hour later as she was holding her granddaughter the tooth fell out in her mouth! Which is cool in itself, but the hole where the tooth had been was completely healed over - NO HOLE and there was no infection or abcess! All in the span of an hour! SUCH a miracle! My favorite though is one man in my church who had a sever stroke. He was told by his doc that he should have died. His face lost all movement on one side and he had trouble hearing and remembering things if you would talk to him. Last Sunday when Brian and Janine came in, they prayed for him and he seemed so much stronger. Last night HE PREACHED. His face is totally healed, no longer drooping or his eye closed. He can hear and see and he preached a BEAUTIFUL sermon. He stood the entire time with not a sign of weakness in him! This after the doctors saying he would never fully recover and wouldn't be able to do the things he once did! I LOVE those days when we see the devil get a black eye!
